Day in and day out, it’s parents complaining about the state of the education system. Parents complain about the indoctrination happening in schools in any given direction. Parents complain about the poor academic outcomes.
That’s about it though, they only complain.
They never go to school board meetings. They don’t actively reach out to the teachers. They don’t run for school board, and in some areas, we are lucky if they make it out to vote.
It’s exhausting. Unfortunately, the way that our system is set up, we need a majority of votes to win local seats. We need like-minded parents and community members to find it as important as we do to vote and support the people who run. It’s hard to find on this side of the issue. The left is better mobilized and has absolutely weaponized the union against parents.
We have a solution. It requires us to take total responsibility for our own child’s education. It also allows us freedom from a system that we have ourselves so desperately crutched on. The truth is parents are dependent on public schools. It’s “free” childcare that is held closely responsible for the academic outcomes of our children, well, until the child fails, then it’s your fault.
A majority of our property taxes go to the state to give to the local school district. Your child attends school and the state gives the district money for your child's attendance.
If you really want to provoke change on a micro scale, homeschool. You will be disrupting their entire system. You take money out of their pockets. You take minds out of their indoctrination centers which leads to fewer voters for them later on. Let them rot in their own system, but don’t let your child be a casualty.
